Moonen Long Range My - Boat is registered in a LLC
After searching far and wide to find the right boat for extended cruising, in 2002 the current owners found PAMACEA in the hands of the original owner in Europe. They visited many ports in the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic in PAMACEA to explore the Caribbean and Florida. Eventually, the vessel was shipped via Dockwise to British Columbia for a tour of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska before proceeding down the West Coast to San Diego. With both owners, PAMACEA has enjoyed the best care and maintenance including haul outs every year for bottom painting and service to all wetted surfaces. Built to the highest standards in the Dutch tradition, PAMACEA is also extremely fuel efficient. She can reach any port with a solid 3,500 NM range, consuming just .75 gallons per nautical mile. INTRODUCTION PAMACEA is a classic flush-deck long-range motoryacht, featuring a round bilge full displacement steel hull and aluminum superstructure coupled with a common bond weld joint. There are accommodations for six owners and guests in three staterooms. Exterior paint is Awlgrip Matterhorn White, faired to yacht quality one meter below the waterline. The technical installations are “ship like” and are Commonly found on yachts twice her size. Designed and built by the renowned Moonen Shipyard in Holland, PAMACEA enjoys the best Dutch pedigree and is intended to cruise the oceans of the world in comfort and safety. Moonen Mission Statement: “Where tradition and innovation go hand in hand.” Accommodations MAIN DECK Boarding is easy at port and starboard bulwark gates amidships as well as passarelle or swim step access to the aft deck. Full walk-around decks are covered in teak with sun pad and anchor station forward, port and starboard wheelhouse doors and spacious covered deck aft with table and chairs as well as built-in settee with cushions at the transom. MAIN SALON Moving forward from the aft deck is a centerline sliding glass door to the Main Salon, decorated with light fabrics which complement the elegant dark mahogany woodwork found throughout the yacht. To port is a large L-shaped sofa with fixed base mahogany coffee table. To starboard is a full-length mahogany counter, containing generous storage as well as a pop-up flat screen TV and an under counter refrigerator. Aft to starboard is a stairway down to the Day Head as well as the fully equipped workshop and adjacent large engine room with 6’5” headroom. GALLEY Next forward in the Main Salon is the gourmet On Deck Galley amidships to port with large bar-style mahogany counter and five posted stools, perfect for casual meals or entertaining. The Galley is equipped with Miele refrigerator, deep freezer, 4-burner cooktop, under counter oven and dishwasher as well as a built-in convection/microwave oven. Fully equipped crockery, cutlery and utensils with service for 12 persons including Arzberg porcelain. Opposite to starboard is additional counter space and storage, including a liquor cabinet. PILOTHOUSE All the way forward on the main deck is the pilothouse with centerline helm chair, dash with complete electronics, port and starboard doors to the side decks as well as ample storage for charts and navigation equipment. To starboard are stairs down to the staterooms and up to the flybridge. LOWER DECK – OWNERS AND GUEST SUITES At the bottom of the stairs, the Master Stateroom is in the bow with centerline queen berth, generous drawer and hanging locker space as well as an ensuite head with shower, Microphor toilet and bidet. Aft of the Master Stateroom is a centerline passageway leading to the guest cabins. To starboard is a cabinet with Miele washing machine and linen storage. Farther aft, amidships, are port and starboard guest staterooms with twin berths and a queen berth respectively. Both guest staterooms have ample hanging locker and drawer storage as well as head and shower ensuite. FLYBRIDGE AND BOAT DECK From the pilothouse, starboard stairs lead up to the flybridge featuring a Bimini top and seating for up to eight with hot and cold sink efficiency and refrigerator. Forward is a full helm station with complete electronics, engine controls and a centerline helm chair. Continuing aft is the radar and antenna mast followed by the Boat Deck with hydraulic davit and ship’s tender. WORKSHOP Aft down stairs from the Main Salon is the Day Head to starboard. A door to port leads to the separate Work Shop and Engine Room. These tool and machinery areas are incredibly spacious compared to most vessels of this size. The Work Shop offers generous counter space with fixed vice, grinder and drill press. Below the counters are oversized, heavy duty commercial grade drawers which contain an extreme inventory of tools and spare parts, too numerous to list completely. The Miele clothes dryer is also located in the Work Shop with a commercial metal lathe stored below. With these features, a large range of repairs and replacement parts can be made on board the yacht. ENGINE ROOM Forward of the Work Shop, through a water tight door is the Engine Room, comparable to much larger yachts. The engines are mounted on beds located below the floor and are accessible from all sides and are lined with stainless railings. Most of the ship’s systems are conveniently located here with an impressive direct access in full 6’5” standing headroom.
