Creala 36 - Offers Invited

This yacht is one of nine built by 'Pacific Seacraft - Philippines', from designer Bill Crealock. She is based on the Crealock 37 which is registered with the US sailboat hall of fame.

As Crealock indicated in a letter to the previous owner, the Creala 36 was "designed as a hefty, fast cruising yacht" and he actually inspected this yacht at the completion of its construction. In the same letter as mentioned above, he states that he was "impressed by the quality of workmanship".

If you compare the Creala 36 to any of the PS versions, you'll see that a lot more quality was built into the Creala. The cap-rail is a good 5 inches wide and 3/4 inch thick, solid teak, whereas that of the PS yachts are about 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick. This attention to "beefing up" the Creala is apparent throughout. The boat's design incorporates total commonsense and utility in mind with all critical areas having easy access. As Crealock intended, she is a strong and very seaworthy vessel.

A 2005 refit included new 316 stainless steel fuel and water tanks, new standing rigging and new teak decks along with a host of other improvements.
