Tayana Aft Cockpit Cutter - See During Annapolis Show

The Tayana 52 design has endured the test of time as it remains a sought after modern cruising boat that is as gorgeous as it is powerful and spacious. This Tayana 52 is the popular aft cockpit three stateroom design with a beautiful sheerline that ends with a gorgeous transom.  This is a boat that stands out everywhere she goes with a powerful high bow and perfectly shaped hull that tapers aft just as boats are supposed to. The long modern cruising keel and skeg mounted rudder is classic Bob Perry. The Tayana 52 is magnificent, powerful in appearance,  and she sails just like you expect she will. Olin Steven’s once said something like,  if a boat looks good, it will sail good! The Tayana 52 does just that. She is a great sailing boat!

We’ve had the opportunity to sell quite a number of Tayana 52 over the years, but this one is special because she is priced right!. She is the sought after aft cockpit with three real staterooms and two heads, two showers, and the interior works so well for a family on a quest to see the world.

If fact, we know a family that cruised a sistership that kept her family safe and comfortable easily romping off those lovely 200 mile days. With the 42 feet of waterline and powerful rig combined with a perfect hull shape it is easy to see why. With her displacement weight of over 38,000 lbs and ballast of almost 15,000 lbs, see is as comfortable as a boat making a passage a great pleasure.

The vessel is equipped with radar, chart plotter, VHF, SSB, and Autopilot, appropriate ground tackle, and nice comforts in the cockpit with dodger, bimini, sunshade, cushions and AC for climate control below. Carolina Gale has served her owners well. They took the bottom down to gelcoat ten years ago and found it all good. They applied a new epoxy bottom. They replaced the standing rigging and the running rigging, and have renewed as indicated over the last ten years. They added new stainless steel uncoated lifelines at that time also. And maintained the boat as their home and teaching vessel.

It's not easy to find a nice BIG three stateroom boat for a family adventure especially one under 200K. You will find Carolina Gale to be a nice big boat offered at an affordable price.

Call to schedule your appointment to inspect this special offering!

Accommodations:

This three-stateroom Tayana 52 aft cockpit is a great live-aboard boat for a family! There are two full heads and three sleeping cabins and plenty of storage. The cockpit is large enough that you can have six people and not feel crowded. The galley is large with plenty of room to cook up a storm with storage for ships stores and all you need. The salon is also roomy with two wonderful settee berths and dining for six easily. The sit down, forward facing navigation station is a perfect ships office. With about 6'6" headroom in and salon many opening ports and hatches there is plenty of ventilation and light.

Walking through from the companionway, you’ll first notice that it is easy to go below with the broad and gentle steps.  To both port and starboard there are mirrored double cabins that you can walk into and close the door. Each cabin has a hanging locker and opening port and hatch with a bookshelf and storage lockers outboard. Moving forward the aft head is to starboard with a toilet, sink, shower, and cabinet.
