Narrow Boat Norton Canes Fit Out Lexden Swan Trad.Stern - Still a stunning craft

Built in 1994/5 by the renowned builder Graham Edgson at Norton Canes and fitted out by David Freeman of Lexden Swan. Reviewed by Canal Boat magazine in September 1996 and still very much admired. The boat was designed to give the maximum open space when being used as a day boat, but the clever layout works extremely well when long term cruising. Currently moored on a non- residential berth at Pyrford Marina on the River Wey in Surrey.

The interior of LINDY LOU is either all open space or it will easily convert to a conventional double cabin layout if required. Off the traditional stern rear deck is the usual aft engine room. The engine is below the floor. Next there is a compact bathroom that provides the usual bathing facilities and comes with a neat stowaway porta potti toilet. Next there is the dinette area, which makes into a very comfortable double berth with either proper cushions ot the easily stowable mattress. Moving forward there is the fully equipped galley, which is ideally situated to cater for the dinette one way and the saloon area the other.

The saloon area has a restful  L shaped seat which again makes into another double bed if required. Another great feature of the boat is the addition of a forward hatch to give ease of entering or leaving through the bow doors without having to duck your head.
