Conceived by Philip L Rhodes and built to highest specification at Abeking & Rasmussen in 1962 for a French Businessman, Gael is a very unique and outstanding classic auxiliary ketch. Only the best quality timber was chosen to construct her teak double planked hull, the teak deck and superstructure. All fastenings are silicon bronze. Gael carries up to 250m² of sails upwind on her hollow Sitka Spruce masts and is fitted with all modern systems such as air conditioning, up to date electronics and sail handling hardware. No expense was spared in her construction and she received all maintenance, upgrades and care such a classic Gentlemans Yacht requires throughout her lifetime and she is now offered in superb condition.
