Smelne Stevens 1240 Dl - Excellent value

'Corvus' is a beautifully presented example from the Stevens Smelne brand. She has the benefit of two helm stations, one in the saloon and one to the aft deck.

The aft deck is covered by an all enclosing canopy and the boat benefits from a hydraulically assisted folding mast to enable navigation through bridges.

For independent power the craft is fitted with a generator, battery charger and inverter to give a  long term liveaboard option.

The specification includes,Teak cockpit floor and bathing platform, hydraulically operated mast and anchor winch, VHF Radio, Raymarine C80 display and radar, Garmin GPS plotter, Venetian blinds to saloon windows, washing machine.

Forward Cabin

Featuring a single berth to port, a 3/4 height wardrobe, further stowage cupboard and shelving. Fitted with a en suite heads with a toilet, wash basin and stowage.

Galley

Located to the starboard side of the craft, of U shape design, featuring a laminate worktop with cupboards below and above. Fitted with microwave, hob, fridge and sink.

Dinette

Situated adjacent to the galley on the port side in an oval design with ample stowage behind the seating and beneath the base cushions.Excellent natural light from the side windows and overhead hatch. The table is offset on its base giving easy access to the seating area.

Saloon

The saloon features the interior helm forward and to port, with ample stowage lockers aft of this. A sofa of L shape design is opposite giving seating for 5 in comfort. Access to the forward and aft accomodation is by 3 steps and to the aft deck by seven steps. The windows to port and starboard are opening and all windows are screened by venetian blinds for privacy and protection of the joinery.

Aft Cabin

The aft cabin is laid out with an angled island double berth, 3/4 wardrobe, 3 further cupboard. Ahead of the aft cabin the aft heads are located to port with a washing machine and sink and to starboard, a large separate shower compartment with sink & stowage.

Engine Room

The engine space is located beneath the main saloon floor, it is all very tidy and with a fully primed and painted bilge. Access is easy all around the 6 cylinder engine with the generator located ahead of the engine.

Exterior 

From the stern the craft features a spacious rear deck which is teak covered and fully enclosed by canopies supported on stainless steel rails. Helm position is centrally located and access to the side decks port and starboard leads forward with two steps in each side deck.To the aft the bathing platform is accessed via a stainless steel ladder. The gas locker is located in the starboard deck. Surrounding the decks are sturdy stainless steel rails which are 2'06'' in height with chained access points amidships to either side. These are matched by plenty of hand rails to the cabin tops. All decks are painted in non slip paint The forward deck is a safe flat working area and fitted with a hydraulic anchor winch. All cabin tops are excellent for lounging and the windscreen is in 5 sections which fold for navigation beneath low bridges.
