Originally named Te Rauparaha this is a beautiful Kiwi classic that was built by Bailey & Sons in Auckland in 1938 in Kauri with copper rivets. In 2010 she had a major refit. The present owners have done a wonderful job with the hull being kept visible inside, and the outside doubled with a layer of 5mm marine plywood laminated with 600gr biaxial with West System epoxy resin, then faired and painted a very attractive pale yellow. Powered by twin 300Hp Cummins that were also overhauled in 2010 she cruises easily at 12 knots with a maximum of 14 and has only done 15 hours since then. She has a double owners cabin aft along with a large cabin forward that can sleep 3/4, plus an additional two in the saloon. A stunning boat to cruise and/or live aboard.
