Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 311 - Available now

This lovingly maintained, one owner from new, Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 311 is fully equipped with an exceptional inventory for live-aboard cruising. She is now for sale as a complete turnkey package due to her owners retirement from sailing.

Designed by Groupe Finot, the Beneteau 311 is fast and comfortable and has many of the characteristics that one might expect from much larger boats. Her hull and integral moulded grid system combine to create an extremely strong and stiff structure. The bulb keel, despite its moderate draft, gives impressive speed and ensures excellent performance under sail.

Her large sail area is divided between the mainsail with long battens and the moderate overlap furling genoa. The deck layout is simple and efficient. The large cockpit has slatted teak seats and is completely uncluttered, and the genoa sheet winches are within easy reach of the helm.

Below deck and to port is the galley with gimballed stove, stainless steel sink with pressurized hot and cold water, and plenty of storage. To starboard there is a large head with a marine toilet and wash basin, a shower with pressurized hot and cold water and plenty of room to store sundries. To starboard there is a large navigation table. Electronics can be easily seen from the bulkhead. The symmetrical saloon consists of two settees flanking a large drop-leaf table.

The 311 has two cabins - forward and aft. The private forward cabin has a large V-berth, plenty of storage including a hanging locker, and lots of storage along the side of the hull. The aft cabin is also generous in size with a hanging locker and plenty of room for storage.

Owners Comments

'Eleni' was bought new in 2002 and has since been sailed each summer in Greek and Turkish waters.  Normally we sail by ourselves but we also have friends and family come out and cruise with us from time to time.  The saloon is light and airy with attractive wood panelling, the settees form extra full-length berths (2m/6’6’’ and 1.95m/6’4’’) providing 6 berths in total.  With brass and other decorative items, bookshelves and reading lights this makes a cosy interior.

The table seats 6 for meals.

The cockpit is particularly large with all-round cushions and can be fully shaded, four people can eat at the table and 6+ for drinks and a chat.  With the sprayhood and overhead lighting this is an ideal place for the Mediterranean lifestyle afloat.  There is full headroom under the bimini which can remain up when sailing.  The wheel is mid-sized and this makes movement around the cockpit much easier than on many yachts.

An outstanding feature is Eleni’s extensive inventory which is ideal for the Mediterranean, the cost today would be well in excess of £20k. The cockpit single-line reefing, main halliard and cockpit windlass control make for easy safe handling, and even for single-handed sailing.

With us having plenty of time on board Eleni she has been meticulously maintained and is therefore without doubt in outstanding condition.  She has always been wintered ashore and the hull has been polished and anti-fouled annually.

Eleni is a great package and is ready to step aboard and sail away, we shall be pleased to provide on-going advice and support for the new owner.
