Aries 32 - Globetrotter

It's hard not to be swept away by the pleasing lines of a Thomas Gillmer design.Very similar to his Southern Cross 31, this double-ender is also full-keeled and steered by an outboard rudder and tiller combo, making her quite suitable for ocean passagemaking. THARSIS comes to the market well equipped, with a Raymarine color E80 GPS chartplotter and radar linked to a Simrad autopilot. She has a full complement of sails, including a storm trysail, storm jib, and steadying sail. Built to heavy scantlings, THARSIS is finished on the interior in a traditional Herreshoff style, with abundant use of teak, as well as bronze portlights. She is currently on the hard in long-term storage and available for inspection.

This is a very functional, straightforward design, built around facing settees in the salon, a V-berth in a forward cabin, a head compartment to starboard between the forward cabin and the salon, a galley to port of the companionway and a nav station to starboard. Engine access is directly under the companionway stairs. Ventilation is via large bronze portlights, overhead hatch, and dorade vents.
