Dübbel & Jesse Nordsee 88 - New Listing - a perfect yacht

Luchya was purchased by her present owner in 2007 and he has brought the yacht to her today’s splendid condition. The captain and owner have put a wealth of good ideas into the yacht, arriving at what can be considered a pretty much perfect concept.

She is more than ready to go around the world if necessary

LUCHYA, (originally built as ELISABETH) was built for a demanding German owner who had 6 sailing yachts prior to ordering this Dübbel and Jesse 88. The brief was to build a comfortable and reasonably light cruising sloop that had the facilities for sailing with a crew of two. Her lines were drawn by Uwe Dübbel and the interior was designed by Rainer Kinder. The Dübbel and Jesse Shipyard located in the very North of Germany was specialized in superb aluminum constructions.

The fore sail furlers and in mast furling main as well as the efficiently set up sailing cockpit shows that this was state of the art. The social cockpit area is easy accessible from the deck without having to climb into it.  A wheelhouse with autopilot steering and 360º visibility is just about as perfect as it can be on a cold day.  Four steps down from the comprehensive wheel house and navigation station is the huge full beam saloon. The first thing you notice is the two oval windows on either side of the hull. These windows enable you to enjoy the anchorage while relaxing on the U shaped sofa on starboard or whilst dining on the port side. Light oak decape. The galley is efficient and modern, only a few mm. granite worktops are laid on stainless steel to keep the weight down. The granite gives the galley area a very stylish finish. The galley is well equipped and functional with good stowage. Fridges and freezers, bottle cooler and vegetable cooler. Forward of the salon is the full beam owners cabin, a center line king size bed in Rosewood. A walk in wardrobe on port side. There is a vanity unit and plenty of locker space. Forward of the owners cabin is the crew cabin for two and forward of that the single berth crew cabin with wc/shower.  Aft of the salon is the guest area with two twin bedded cabins (each with an extra Pullman berth), both with ensuite facilities.

In 2005 ELISABETH was purchased by an Austrian entrepreneur who sailed her comfortably around the world. She arrived back in Palma in 2007 and within weeks she was purchased by her present owner who has brought the yacht to her today’s splendid condition. The captain and owner have put a wealth of good ideas into the yacht. She is more than ready to go around the world again. The owner has taken such joy in sailing and keeping the yacht in top condition together with his crew that he is keen to buy a larger yacht.

LUCHYA sails under a Spanish flag and complies with the very stringent rules of pleasure craft of over 24 meters. This means regular checks on shafts, engine, firefighting equipment etc. etc. this ensures the next owner he is buying a very well maintained yacht!!

On deck, before and aft of the mast there are the recessed areas for sun bathing, the cushions are flush with the deck when in place. The large garage aft is accessible through a hatch in the deck and the big door opens hydraulically. The garage door functions as a swimming platform as well as a launching pad for the dinghy because it can be lowered to water level. There are specially made stainless chocks to put the dinghy on the foredeck, nevertheless one would like to store her in the aft garage when traveling further.

The entire concept of this D&J 88 is pretty much perfect
