DESCRIPTION:

MINDY was a custom build at the renowned Cheoy Lee shipyard on the Pearl River in China.  She offers a fishing cockpit, a large California Deck and an Enclosed Pilothouse and Sky Lounge.  She has a gourmet galley with Country Kitchen, comfortable and spacious Salon with dining area. Her 5 stateroom layout is sensible, comfortable and perfect for extended cruising.  The on deck areas are spacious and practical.  MINDY checks all the boxes for a safe and comfortable family cruiser.

MAIN SALON

The atmosphere is warm and inviting with light earth tone colors, large windows, and plenty of headroom.  The principle entry is through the sliding stainless steel and glass sliding door from the  California deck.  The furnishings include a comfortable couch plus two occasional chairs opposite with a cocktail table between.  Amenities abound with a large flat screen TV, surround sound stereo, large wine cooler, ample storage and a pleasant dining area for four forward to port.

GALLEY/COUNTRY KITCHEN

The owner of MINDY is a renowned restaurateur and the galley is a personal reflection of his intimacy with the workings of commercial kitchens.  Located forward and to port of the main salon the galley presents as a beautifully designed and engineered workplace for the accomplished chef.  Honey and earth-toned bull-nosed marble cap the working counter laid fore and aft to port as well as the prep/cooktop island on the center line.  The day head is located opposite the prep island to starboard. Top brand stainless steel appliances abound as do over and under storage spaces.  A large window to port along with the forward facing windows adds to the airy and open spaciousness.

A large step-up raised L-shaped settee with a double pedestal wood dining table is situated forward of the galley and beneath the forward facing windows.  Pantograph doors for deck access are to port and starboard.  A restaurant style Miele Espresso machine is built into the forward facing starboard bulkhead just opposite and aft of the settee.  An inset 23” Toshiba flat screen TV is lowered from the ceiling for the enjoyment of the guests seated at the dining table.

MASTER STATEROOM

The master stateroom is located below deck aft and is accessed via a spiral staircase located forward of the main salon.  Enter the master from the inlaid wood foyer through double wood doors.  The queen berth is on the centerline framed by wood columns and a wood scalloped overhead with halogen lighting.  A large head with marble floors and shower are located to starboard with marble counter tops and 2 beautifully crafted porcelain octagonal sinks.   There is a commodious cedar-lined walk-in closet to port and a small built in settee to starboard.   Entertainment is supplied by a 32” flat screen TV and a stereo system with ample speakers throughout. NOTE: The Kenmore stacked washer/dryer is located inside the closet off the master stateroom foyer

There is a double door hanging closet located aft to starboard.  A Panasonic 23’ flat screen TV is mounted on the bulkhead for easy visibility.  A head and shower are shared with the additional double guest stateroom located forward.

The guest double stateroom forward is located off the foyer to port aft of the VIP.  This stateroom features over/under single berths; the upper berth is located fore and aft and the lower berth is set athwart ship against the aft bulkhead.  There is a large storage/hanging locker located beneath the fore and aft berth.  This stateroom shares a head and shower with the forward VIP.

ENCLOSED BRIDGE/SKYLOUNGE

The enclosed bridge and sky lounge is accessed from the main salon via teak and stainless steel spiral staircase.  The bridge has a centerline helm surrounded by a full set of high end electronics and engine controls.  Adjacent to the helm are two adjustable Stidd helm chairs in tan leather.  The sky lounge aft of the command station is a comfortable bright and airy living space.  Visibility is excellent with large tinted windows forward, side and rear facing.  There is a full length storage cabinet running fore and aft to starboard which includes a small wet bar and a 42’ flat screen TV mounted on a hydraulic lift.  Opposite to port is a comfortable raised U-shaped settee; a Mahogany wood up/down mechanically adjustable dining table compliments the settee.  The table may be lowered to make the settee into a bed if needed.

The large covered California deck is three steps up from the cockpit and features teak decks and a cushioned forward facing settee with a rectangular inlaid wood table and (3) McGuire directors chairs.  The table can seat eight for meals when dining alfresco.  Other notable features are a large refrigerator and ice maker.  You will find opening gunwale doors port and starboard for convenient boarding and off-boarding as well as a wide staircase leading to the boat deck/sky lounge/enclosed bridge.  A stainless steel framed sliding door leads into the main salon.

COCKPIT

The cockpit is accessed from a deep molded-in teak-decked swim platform.  Safety handles for boarding the swim step are provided to port and starboard as well as courtesy lights and flush mounted pop up tender cleats.

The cockpit was custom designed to accommodate the ocean angler and includes a live-bait well integrated into the transom on the centerline, a Pompanette fighting chair, plentiful rod and tackle storage and 26’ Rupp outriggers.  In addition there are (6) stainless steel rod holders flush mounted in the teak cap rail, (4) underwater lights for raising bait, and a drop-in fish box.

ENGINE ROOM

The engine room is accessed through a full-size water tight door located on the port side of the cockpit.  The machinery spaces are uncluttered and well-engineered; lighting is excellent and there is plenty of headroom.  NOTE: 14,000 lbs additional of Sundown insulation was installed during the build process to insure low sound and vibration levels underway.  57db was attained in the pilothouse and 67db was attained in the salon while underway.  A custom muffler system for the main engines is a contributing factor in lowering sound and vibration levels throughout the vessel.

This custom Cheoy Lee is complimented by an enclosed pilothouse/sky lounge, a proven off-shore fishing cockpit, and an interior that is both functional and elegant.  After many enjoyable ocean miles spent aboard MINDY it is now time for the owner to move up and provide an opportunity for a new owner to step aboard.
