Over the course of seven years, seven boats ranging in size from 12.5 to 17 meters were built. Four of these boats were exported to the Florida USA, Casa de Campo Dominican Republic and Saint Marrten in the Caribbean. Two Powerplays are in charter cruising the beautiful coast of Queensland. Hull 7 is now located in Perth WA and regularly cruises the Kimberlys. During this time, Power Catamarans at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show and was also rewarded with two “Emerging Export Awards”, as well as an Excellence in Manufacturing award from the Queensland Government.

In 2010, Powerplay relocated the business to Zhuhai China to streamline production and reduce overheads. Powerplay Catamarans became Powerplay International, and within six months of establishing this new factory, the company had four orders for the new 18-meter Powered Catamaran. The factory is operating smoothly, and has proven to be a smart move, with the output being a high quality finish and a more affordable boat.
