Price Reduced $650,000!! (10/02/2014) Bring Offers!! High Seas Yacht Sales is happy to announce the sale of the legendary yacht Konigin II, famously owned by Mussolini. This vessel has no peers afloat and she is a prime example of a gilded age yacht: fast, luxurious, comfortable at sea. Built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1912 for Baron Von Dazur, this vessel became famous for its ownership by Alessandro Parisi Noble and then the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Mussolini famously used the boat to rendezvous with his mistress Claretta Petacci. In 2009, the currents owners began a complete restoration and refit of this classic and storied yacht. Massimo Paperini of Duck Design led a team of highly skilled craftsmen to bring her back to her original splendor. No expense or detail was spared. All the mechanicals, electrical system, plumbing, fittings and rigging was completely replaced or refurbished. The all mahogany interior was completely restored. Duck Design made sure to pay close attention to the original designs, actively collaborating with Abeking & Rasmussen, in order to make sure the restoration stayed true to the spirit of a classic yacht, but while also offering unobtrusive modern amenities, such as an updated galley and modern heads. The owners want a quick sale and this is reflected in the price. Offers are welcome.
