Revamped Custom Steel Boat a real buy!

"Wandrin Star" is  41' Steel Center Cockpit Ketch designed by Laurent Giles of England.  Her hull was laid  in Holland of rolled Seiman Martin steel alloy, a rust resistant alloy.  The hull was then shipped by road to Porto Santa Stephano in Italy where all the interior work was completed by Cantiere Naval Argentari.  She was launched in 1976.  Recently the following upgrades have been completed:

• All standing rigging replaced including turnbuckles in 2012 on both mast.
• Profurl genoa furling system replaced in 2008
• Detachable inner forestay added in 2008 with quick release mechanism.
• New mizzen sail in 2012 along with evaluation of all sails
• Vertical grain teak decking replaced in 2005 bedded in epoxy resin on 3/4" cork based sub decking. Deck structure is steel with 2" foam insulation on the understide.
• The cap to the steel gunwales were replaced with larger section teak in 2005 with adition of 1/4" thick stainless steel under which is welded to the hull
• Stanchions and lifelines replaced in 2005
• Lewmar hatches new in 2005
• Genoa sheet tracks replaced in 2005 including new cars
• Lewmar mainsail track and carriage replaced in 2006
• All Lewmar Winches re-chromed and serviced in 2006
• Bimini and dodger Sunbrella new in 2012
• All new Raymairine systems at helm in 2012 including depth, speed, wind speed and direction, autopilot and touch screen GPS with AIS system.
• Additional oild pressure and ampmeter guage added in 2012
• 80 hp Perkins diesel rebuilt with 50 hrs

Forward Berths: Bow storage locker with light. Access to valve for deck wash. Anchor chain locker below berths, with drain to automatic bilge pump below shower. Two berths with foam mattress pads and storage lockers below. Alpenglow light. Door to forward shower/head/wash basin.

Forward Head: To port side is the head (TMC) with manual flush direct to sea. Storage cabinet. 1 seacock. Nico vent. Light. In amidships there is the shower and to starboard is the Corian wash basin with 1 seacock under. Light over basin.

Main Cabin: Seating on both port and starboard sides that could be used as berths. Large amount of storage under and behind seats. Under the port side seating is the large starting battery and the Charles Isolation transformer. Amidships there is a fixed table with fold up leaves both sides. The main mast post passes through the table. Under the starboard seating are the 4# 6volt Trojan T145 house batteries. Also the Heart battery charger/inverter is located here. (Note: this is now used as a backup). Below the starboard seating is the 3 battery switches (house, starting, both) and the Mastervolt battery charger for both house and starter batteries. The large (100 gal. approx.) is located amidships in the bilges with a content gauge in the instrument panel. Storage in the bilge area. 4# alpenglow lights, ships bell, radio speakers, clock and barometer are in this area.

Aft Cabin: 2 berths with the port berth being a small double and the starboard a single berth. Storage and drawers below each berth. A mirrored door between the berths opens to a hanging locker. More hanging locker space on starboard side forward of berth. Alpenglow lights above each berth as well as fans. Fire extinguisher.

Below the cabin sole is the fuel filter system, prop shaft and 1thru hull with sediment trap (engine cooling water).

Aft Head: 12 Volt electric macerator pump head by TMC with a 2 way valve to direct waste to holding tank or directly to sea. 12 volt extract fan on timer. Hand pump to empty tank. Corian wash hand basin with light over. Hand held shower with shower drain and automatic bilge pump in shower sump. Storage under sink with 1 thru hull. Lift out access to area adjacent engine room which contains the holding tank and 4 thru hulls.
