Arsenal Do Alfiete Mega Yacht Power - Direct offering from bank

1968 Arsenal Do Alfiete 164' (50 meter) Classic Mega Yacht

2015 "The bank wants this yacht gone"

If you have a cash offer then you could have the best deal in the world's market

Please note: Central Listing This is a direct offering via the banks asset liquidation sales brokerage division.

Possible term payments to qualified buyer

Her asking price has been drastically reduced during the past few years and she is the lowest priced    50 meter (164') true yacht (not a converted commercial vessel) available. As of 1/25/2015 the bank owners will consider term payments to qualified buyers.

Thea was once one of the first "Mega Yachts" of her day and she was built by a military shipyard using higher standard hull plating/corrosion resistant steel and robust framing  and alloy superstructure. She has had several owners all of which were  experienced with large vessel maintaining.

I have written a 64 page PDF vessel walk through that will cover all aspects of Thea and she has been maintained by a full time crew and engineer during the time the bank took her in foreclosure. She has also undergone a complete bottom sounding and repair of one small plate and an epoxy type barrier coating paint system and normal shaft/ruder bearings replacement under the supervision of RINA.

Because of Thea's low asking price, she has attracted her share of "arm chair" buyers who never were actually able to physically view her in Malta. The new plan is that anyone serious about buying Thea...they must physically view her (or by proxy). Offer's prior to viewing are fine as long as they do have the number 2 and six figures following.

Where Thea fits into the scheme of things? Thea is a timeless classic that can mingle among today's newest mega yachts the same way a classic car can fit in between modern exotic automobiles.  Thea is not 100% turnkey...she does require some updating of a few of her systems, entertainment/navigation electronics and soft goods. I also can provide a fairly accurate estimate report of proposed mandatory and elected upgrades.

There are several American and European open listing brokers who have been diligently listing Thea on Yacht World and I encourage you to continue any relationship already established. To new brokers who feel they have a buyer...please contact me regarding a revised broker commission schedule.

USA/Canadian North-Central and South American buyers contact: Patrick Venson...see my contact info below.

European/Asian buyers contact: Mario Dix  ...see his contact  info below.

Thea was built in 1968 by Arsenal Do Alfeite www.arsenal-alfeite.pt in Portugal and designed
by Jorge d’Almeida Araujo. Arsenal Do Alfeite was and is today an advanced shipyard that
builds and maintains the Portuguese Navy’s vessels as well as commercial vessels and servicing
luxury yachts. Thea originally christened as Donapila-ll she was perhaps the first Mega Yacht of
her era and the first private yacht built by the shipyard. It’s alleged that her first owner was an
affluent arms dealer who demanded his yacht be built to robust military standards but have a
bespoke interior that was reminiscent of the great hotels and homes of Europe. She was built
using many redundant systems and her interior was constructed off sight by one of the
Europe’s top contract furniture/interior panel builders and fitted to the yacht by highly skilled
carpenters. The wood is solid blonde oak through out the guest area’s and captain’s cabin. Thea
has had several experienced yachtsman owners and has been formally known as Myrna, Yanka,
Derama and Rama. She returned to Arsenal Do Alfeite in 1999 for a refit where several
electrical and mechanical components were modernized. There are vast libraries aboard of
engineering drawings, specification books, fuel consumption graphs and yard bills that
document decades of service. Thea (Donapila-ll) was once the Belle of the Ball of the Cote d’
Azur yacht cotillion and with some direction and funding, she can return as one of the Grand
Dames!
