William Garden

Reveille a William Garden designed Seal is one of the best examples of a quality offshore passage maker. Starting with her sturdy full keel heavy displacement hull and oversized rigging she has proven her strength offshore. This includes encounters with several severe weather patterns including Typhoon Kate off of Japan. She is equipped with a storm trysail including an extra track rigged on the mast,a storm jib and a para-anchor. Her very attractive flush decks double ended cutter design makes her very secure in following seas. The Monitor wind vane has proven capabilities,in a wide range of conditions including heavy winds and large seas.

The owner of Reveille for the past 24 years, is a very experienced offshore sailor who has made the ongoing investment throughout his ownership to keep Reveille in top mechanical and cosmetic condition. With many upgrades and improvements he has enjoyed Reveille's comfortable live aboard interior arrangement and deck layout that includes an excellent cockpit for offshore sailing or relaxing at anchor.

Reveille's bullworks and foredeck anchor well (below deck level) provide a secure base for sail changes and anchor deployment in heavy weather. The oversized Maxwell windlass assures anchor retrieval quickly in critical situations and it can be operated from the cockpit allowing single handed anchoring. In addition there are provisions for running the halyard and first reef lines aft to the cockpit, again benefiting shorthanded sailing.

Reveille is without exception one of the most attractive classic ocean passagemakers ever built. With her beautiful recently painted red hull with graceful sheerline, bowsprit, and varnished outboard rudder she is admired by all who see her undersail or at anchor. She is truly one of the strongest most comfortable quality ocean cruising yachts and best of all she is ready for her next adventure.

Starting forward is a chain locker, followed by the full beam master stateroom with king size v-berth. Includes large storage area forward shelves,above the berths are two large hanging lockers aft to starboard, and a solid teak privacy door. 
To port is a large head with hand shower with new Corian counter tops, sink, faucet and four storage lockers.

Amidships is an impressive main salon with settees and pilot berths port and starboard and centerline double leaf teak dining table. There are four large storage lockers under the berths and settees and two small lockers forward. The flush deck design provides considerably more interior volume and headroom especially over the pilot berths.

Aft of the salon to port adjacent to the companionway is the "L" shaped offshore style galley with new Corian counters. Opposite the galley is the navigation center with table with hinged top to access storage, and seat.

There are many features that make Reveille special. Her magnificent varnished teak interior with custom vertical bulkhead stavings is one example. The workmanship throughout is comparable to the finest quality yacht.
