Alloy Yachts of New Zealand have built some of the worlds finest yachts this Alloy Yachts 92 foot 'Catalyst' is a true world cruising yacht, extensive refit in 2008 to MCA Charter Classification. New paint  on hull and superstructure in Awlgrip. New sails in 2011 and full polish, new antifoul, main teak deck replaced and new carpets below. Catalyst really has been kept in the highest standard.

 Catalyst has completed extensive cruising on both sides of the Atlantic. At 92 feet (28 meters), she is slightly smaller than some of the more recent yachts however remains an excellent and capable yacht. The yachts architect, the highly accomplished naval architect Ron Holland was given a brief which included flawless joinery. This was certainly achieved and her original owner went on to build a larger yacht using the same team of people, Alloy Yachts and Ron Holland.

Catalyst is a yacht of elegance and comfort, yet also gracious sailing performance. The yachts sailing performance is every bit as wonderful as the interior comfort and accommodation, plus with long straight lines and low sleek topsides she is a pleasure to the eye when viewed off the boat. Down below there is the soft leather and graceful curves that creates a restful and refined atmosphere.

Owners Comments:

All machinery has low engine hours with virtually 2 new generators and the main has only done some 2000 hours from a full rebuild. All electrics and hydraulics have also been overhauled.

Catalyst under engine at full speed will do 11.5 knots – 35 litres an hour and will cruise at 10 knots,  20 - 25 litres an hour

She also has a variable pitch prop which you can regulate the pitch to RPM to minimise fuel consumption

The main and mizzen are new and the head sail has been reconditioned, the tender is also new. I have spent a considerable sum of money on the vessel since I have been the owner of Catalyst and any new buyer would not be disappointed.
