Custom Cruise Ship 239 Nil Ship

The vessel was in dry dock in January 2013 – first time after her construction. The vessel was built in Arab Contractors shipyard in Cairo, in the best and most expensive shipyard of Egypt. In 2 weeks is finished in the dry dock, there was not too much to do, as the construction work was very good. The dry dock was done also by Arab Contractors shipyard. Next dry dock is due in 2017.

Quiet, vibration free operation.

Design was done at Cairo Marine Design and Consulting Ltd. by Engineer Mohamed Ali Selim and building at Osman Arab Contractors shipyard in Cairo. This yard has the reputation of building the highest quality ships in Egypt. Also there was an extra engineering help from Hungary.

From fine to time during steel constructional work the Chief Engineer of the Hungarian Ship Building factoryproducing sea going vessels, was visiting to check the quality of the building process.

Particular attention was paid to the construction of the engine room. Oversized engine bearers, flexibile engine mounts, flexible couplings to the entire engine room. Final result is a vibration free quiet vessel. During a cruise guests appreciate this smooth rummimg ship.

2 x Generators D 2876 LE 301 – 345 KVA

1 x Generator D 2866 LXE 30 – 244 KVA

All 6 engines were professionally serviced from the begining by Marintec.

Propulsion:

Three Shottel Z drive coupled with three main engines - ensures easy manoeuvrability of the ship in any circumstances.

Efficient high volume air conditioning throughout th evessel.

there are 7 air handling units (AHU) on board giving excellent results in air conditioning, opposed to the normally used 4 units on other vessels.

High purity water supply.

The water purification system is Culligan, Itallyan made. One of th ebest int he world, with stainless stell filters. Only a few ships have this quality ont he Nile.

Comfortable common areas.

Reception area is italian marble from Calacatta. The atrium is large, elegant, like a land hotel whit impressive decoration and art work. Restaurant seats 150 guests. There are 3 bars.

Lounge bar

130 seating with music system and dance floor.

Reception hall:

serving guests in reception area.

Sun deck:

serving guest during day and at BBQ. There is a library with panoramic views above the bridge looking forward, with a large svreen TV.

Spacious well lit cabins with the use of large windows.

all windows are opening-sliding windows. Measurements are full height, from floor to celling, giving panoramic view of the outside world. The glass has protection against solar radiation.

Easly cleaned hygienic bathrooms.

Int he guest cabins there are italian style GRP one piece moulded units. Surfaces are seamless and this ensures easy maintenance. Bathrooms are clean and hygienic. Physical dimensions are 3,4 m2

Uniqui one off design furniture.

All furniture is uniquelly designed and manufactured for the ship. Style is French Empire design. There are no „off the shelf" products installed.

Sundeck.

It is possible to serve dinner or lunch upstairs with adequate seating for 140 guests and prepare BBQ’s on electric grills.

Staff cabins.

Prefabriced bathrooms in most cabins, separate bathroom and toilet –this ensures high hygenic conditions for staff and quick preparation int he morning.

Hotel management.

Computerised system by Comsys, giving Coputerised billing, reservation, cost control, financial statements, and management reports. Guest receive computerised bills, during meals and at the end of cruise.

Business centre.

A separate room is available with 3 computers and mobile internet.

Cabins.

No passenger cabins at lower deck. It gives guests accommodation on higher decks which is more desirable than lower deck accommodation. Physical dimensions of cabins are 20 m2, and 32 m2 of the suits.

Kichen.

All equipments are Zanussi. Hot oven: rational, only large hotels are using this type.

Laundry.

It is ont he lower deck aft, using industrial equipment. Making operation self sufficient.

Massage room

Ont he 4-th floor there is an air conditioned gym massage room with infra sauna

Tax incentive

Owned Company of vessel is enjoying a tax holiday until 2016. thereby corporate income tax is NOT payable for the following seven years. Also the Company can import certain equipment FREE or REDUCED rates of import tax for its operation.

Scheduled Maintenance and upkeep

Three years of operation has passed by since launching date.
