Bottle stowage is in the saloon table pedestal. A U line icemaker is located in the forward locker. Access to the saloon from the companionway is down a set of shaped timber steps and stainless steel frame, with timber grab handles to either side of the companionway opening. NAVIGATION AREA The chart area is at the aft starboard end of the saloon. Its layout allows for instruments to be mounted in the optimum viewing position for ease of reading. The table can accommodate a half-folded Admiralty chart. There is a good bookshelf outboard of this for the Nautical Almanac and Pilot books. AC and DC electrical panels are located behind the navigator’s seat and fitted with hanging, acrylic doors to protect the switches from being accidentally operated. There are two drawers beneath the chart table. 4th CABIN Designed as a workshop, featuring a white mica top covered with a heavy-duty black rubber mat which can be converted to a single berth with mattress split athwart ships. Excellent stowage in lockers beneath, including chart drawer. Watermaker and Racor filters are located in lower locker on aft bulkhead with additional storage in locker above. Access to main engine. ENGINE ROOM The engine room is insulated with a composite of foam and high density polymer sound absorbing materials, with an overall panel thickness of 40mm. All access panels are fitted with rubber sealing strips to minimize noise and secured by positive catches. Extra shelves with fiddles have been installed for storage. OWNER’S STATEROOM The aft cabin is configured with a centreline double berth with sprung mattress, complete with two deep drawers for bedding beneath. To port there is a large cedar lined hanging locker, two shelves with sliding door fronted lockers and a bedside shelf with locker beneath. To starboard there is another cedar lined hanging locker, a large shelf with 6 drawers and 2 lockers and a bed side shelf with locker beneath.
