Gemini 3000

Gemini is a Tony Smith designed boat manufactured in Annapolis, Maryland. The boat sails almost table-top flat so she is friendly to landlubber guests even in a fresh breeze. A quick boat for 30 feet, she sails fully loaded at speeds in excess of 7 knots. One of the most attractive features of the Gemini is that it is difficult if not impossible to beat her livable accommodations. What other 30-foot boat offers a Captains cabin with a comfortable queen sized bunk as well as two, more intimate sized double quarter-berth cabins for guests, each with hanging lockers for jackets, etc? Further the Gemini also provides a head large enough to shower in, a dining salon that will seat you and your guests comfortably for meals prepared in the starboard hull galley, and a navigation station in the port hull.

PERFORMANCE - Gemini is a dream to sail; both easy and predictable with an impressive turn of speed. Performance comes from the power of a modern masthead rig on lightweight, unballasted and easily-driven hulls.

COMFORT - Gemini's semi-circular hulls and full transom offer not only maximum load-carrying with good performance but also a very comfortable, no-pitching level ride.

SHALLOW DRAFT - The easily-adjusted centerboards go almost unnoticed in the interior of the Gemini. With boards up she draws a mere 18 inches for gunkholing, downwind performance or weathering a storm offshore. With boards down, she grips the water for very close windward work and dinghy-like maneuverability.

INTERIOR - The interior is all handcrafted teak with fabrics and carpet to give an overall feeling of warmth.

FULL ACCOMMODATION - Gemini is designed for luxurious living for two with the ability to sleep four in privacy. The unique layout of cabins makes Gemini ideal for live-aboards or cruising.

GALLEY - The galley is situated in the starboard hull well away from through traffic and with a panoramic view through the wide cabin windows. The galley comes complete with propane oven and broiler, a three-way fridge and pressurized hot and cold water to the sink. There is ample work surface, drawers and cupboard space.

CABINS - The master cabin houses a Queen-sized berth and two additional double berths are located in each of the hulls aft. The spacious bathroom has a marine head and pressurized hot and cold shower. Headroom is 6 feet and 3 inches - even on the bridge deck. The dinette seats six.

Ventilation - Eight large roof hatches and removable pilot house windows create a through-draft on even windless days because of convection currents.
