Custom Luxury Motoryacht Leight Star 143

Leight Star was totally rebuilt from the hull up in 2009. Three large entertaining decks, a helicopter pad, and commercial grade galley means this is the ideal business platform. The luxury of the Staterooms and appointments makes for the ultimate travel and living platform. A beautiful combination of function and comfort for all your needs.

COCKPIT

Entry to "Leight Star" is through the transom door, or stairs attached to the aft quarter on either side. Entering through the transom brings you into a cockpit equipped with two removable antique stainless steel sport fishing chairs. Plenty of room to fish or, when the chairs are removed, room for sunning and beautiful water level entry to the built in swim platform for swimming. Transom door is large enough to serve as a tuna door if you have hooked something large. All exterior decks are hand laid teak.

MAIN DECK

Stepping up four steps on either side of the cockpit brings you to a covered table for 8 overlooking the cockpit, this seating area, convenient to the galley allows for multiple ages of guests to engage without everyone having to be in the water. A large lazzerette, with room for diving tanks and various toy accessories is located under this deck and easily accessed through a large hatch. Side gangway stairs enter this area when utilized at the dock.

Automatic sliding glass doors open into this decks salon.  The aft portion of the salon has comfortable seating and a 46" flat screen tv mounted port. Moving forward to the port is a large L shaped service buffet with storage underneath. This buffet has almost 12' of counter space, making serving for any number of guests a breeze. Starboard of this is a wet bar with a 32" flat screen tv mounted over the back bar and an entrance to the galley behind it. Passing the buffet you enter the dining room a beautiful clear glass oval table seating up to 10 for meals or meetings. The dining area is graced with a beautiful wall mural running the entire center wall separating it from the galley.

To port, forward of the dining area, an anteroom with desk serves a dual purpose as an office and entry to the Master suite. The master suite takes advantage of a unique design that takes the exterior walk around deck up to the helm deck before coming back down to the bow. This means unobstructed views from the large triple windows on each side of the full beam suite. With gold plated fixtures in the ensuite head and high end custom touches throughout, these are royal accommodations for luxury anywhere in the world.

The galley is conveniently located midships and starboard with entrances from the bar area, an external door to the side deck, and a private stairway to the crews quarters. This design allows for either style of use, easily accessed and laid out for owner use, or a quick snack. It is separated enough that a full catering crew can be preparing , assembling, and serving multiple guests without interfering with the flow of an event. Commercial grade appliances, and huge counter space facilitate any style of cuisine.

The last area on this deck is accessed by going up and over the master stateroom by walk around side decks. Following either up fore of the pilothouse takes you to a teak stairway center leading down to a small mezzanine deck with seating overlooking the fore deck and a large padded lounge in the peak of the bow. Underway this is the ultimate place to lie snuggled on the pillows with the wind blowing over you. Enough room for four to 6 people makes this an excellent lounging place away from the interior and bustle of the yacht.

Center beam is the magnificent circular staircase. Going from belowdecks to the Helm deck this hand crafted cylindrical atrium is topped with a sunlight dome allowing for natural light and giving the sun deck a beautiful centerpiece.

HELM DECK

Moving up the staircase brings you to a plate glass window looking into the pilothouse, guests can easily watch the workings of the helm, without interfering with the operation of the yacht, although a bench seat against the aft wall of the helm does allow for seating at your choice. There also is seating around the front of the pilothouse, these large padded curved benches allow for guests to interact without impairing the captains views. Private captains quarters are located on the starboard side attached to the pilothouse.

Looking aft from the staircase you see another wet bar to the port midway through the salon and two 36" flatscreen tvs the drop from the ceiling in either aft corner. This large salon has leather seating and floor to ceiling oval windows. A large day head is located starboard. Sliding glass doors allow access to the rear deck with a large teak table for 10 and aft seating area with lounges overlooking the stern. This deck is protected from over head by the helicopter pad and easily has room for 40 guests mingling. A teak staircase starboard comes up from the main deck, and a teak staircase port leads up to the sundeck and helicopter pad. Built into the deck above is also the tender lift, which extends out the port side of the deck to lift the tender and then bring it hanging into this deck area. allowing for safer transit.

SUNDECK

You enter the sundeck midships on the port side. Immediately center as you come up the stairs is a hottub, jacuzzi for 8. A large teak table that sits 8 gives you another option for meals. The large hardtop covers the forward half of this deck, sheltering another serving bar, with a stainless steel gas grill behind it. The entire front curved rail of this deck has drink/food rail built in at bar height to facilitate seating along the whole rail. The center of this area is the dome over the spiral staircase, which glows at night like a firepit, lit from the interior lights below and any shadows of guests moving up and down the stairs. Separated from this area by a 10' gap, and accessed by a starboard walkway, is the helicopter pad. This painted diamond plate surface is designed for most mid sized helicopters. It has stainless safety rails all around that fold down for landing. This area can also be used with the rails up as an entertaining deck, dance floor, or by mounting a winch as storage for extra water toys and tenders.

HARDTOP/ARCH

Recessed into the hardtop/arch is a flip down ladder. Bringing it down allows access to all electronics and service easily. This also brings you to one of the owners favorite secret places. On top of the arch he had padded seating installed giving you a truly top of the world experience with unobstructed views in all directions. Not for the faint of heart but worth every minute spent there.

BELOWDECK

Belowships at the bottom of the staircase finds you in a midships hallway leading aft. Foreward is a doorway to the crews quarters. Moving aft takes you by the 4 guest cabins with ensuite heads. With the 3 queen cabins and 1 twin cabin all types of accommodations are covered. Each cabin is roomy with windows and room to relax. The aft end of the hallway is a beautiful etched glass wall and door leading into a mirrored exercise room with its own head. This room with its head takes up the full beam and could be easily converted into a VIP stateroom if the new owner desired.

CREW

The Captains quarters on the Helm deck have a full ensuite head and direct access to the pilothouse

The crews quarters have a private galley and 2 cabins with a lounge area. The dual access from the lower deck or the private staircase to the galley means quick response to guest needs wherever they are on the yacht.

The engine room access is from a port aft staircase. This engine room had captain input from the design point so it is most engineers dreams to work in.

This yacht was designed and built by an owner who loves yachting, his personal touches and input throughout the yacht has made it one of the most unique entertaining platforms in the world. He has maximized every inch of the space used for guests giving it a feel of a much larger vessel.
